Top 10 events of 2008 part 1

I know the year isn't officially over but I just wanted to give you all a list of my top 10 events for me in 2008. It really has been a good year for me. I was thinking about how fast this year has flown. We are less than 30 days before we will be ringing in 2009.

10. Started the year of 2008 in Las Vegas. I was with good friends and we had a blast. We partied and enjoyed ourselves. Vegas is a lot better than what people tell you. We gambled (one friend won $5,000), saw Jay-Z in concert (filled with special guests Ne-Yo, Kanye West, and Mary J. Blige) just to name a couple, and just most of all enjoyed ourselves. I have made myself a promise to ring in 2010 in Vegas. It definitely started off my year right.

9. Barack Obama outlast Hilliary Clinton to win the Democratic Presidential nomination. I have been an Obama supporter since August 2007. I believe I donated about $200 to his primary campaign. This was the first time I felt passionate about a candidate. I was delighted with his victory over Hilliary. It was a long drawn out fight but he outlasted one of the best politicians of our time.

8. My mom turned 50 in November and it was an exciting moment for her. It's hard to believe that she is 50, but my sister and I wanted to make sure she enjoyed her birthday. We decided to take her and her sisters to dinner to celebrate the occasion. Then a couple of days later we held a surprise party for her. She told me that she really enjoyed her birthday. That put a smile on my face knowing that she enjoyed the day to the fullest.

7. My own birthday makes this list too. I turned 25 this year and I usually don't celebrate my birthday. I like to keep a low profile and I don't really like people making a big deal out of it. Well this year I decided to go visit my college friends and frat brothers in Maryland and DC. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement. Even though I almost had to cuss out a lady at TGIFriday's it was all good. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with friends and brothers. (Especially my friend Pat Ron. LOL) It was the best birthday I have had in a long while. Probably the best birthday since my 18th birthday.

6. My many trips to NC come up as my top 6 event(s) of 2008. I was talking to one of my friends the other day and we counted the number of trips I have made to NC this year. It was 7 times. I might as well move there as many times as I visit. My trips mostly are for to hang out with my chapter bruhs, or some college friends. It's usually a very good time. We party hard and usually reminisce about our college experience. Especially when we were pledging our frat. We have many horror stories. I always look forward to those trips and hopefully I will be making another one soon.

These are the first part of top events for 2008. After I come back from my vacation I plan on finishing this. I plan on this vacation making the top 5 of the list so that's why I am going to hold off on finishing this. Until next time I am America's Nightmare...
